Meeting Times: Monthly during lunch periods

A team-based competition that turns reading into a sport! We will read and practice throughout the year to gear up for the district and regional competitions in the spring.

The Better Together Club is a welcoming and inclusive group dedicated to fostering a sense of community and belonging within the school. Our mission is to bring students together from diverse backgrounds, encouraging open dialogue, mutual respect, and collaboration. Through various activities, discussions, and service projects, we aim to promote empathy, understanding, and kindness. The club provides a safe space for all students to share their experiences, celebrate differences, and work together on initiatives that enhance our school culture and support the well-being of our entire school community. Whether you're passionate about social justice, interested in making new friends, or simply want to make a positive impact, the Better Together Club is the perfect place for you.

Chess Club is a group of kids who get together to play chess in a relaxed environment.  Many skill levels are present.

Learn to crochet or work on on-going crochet projects. Bring your own crochet hooks and yarn.

Auditions - mid-November

Performance - March 13, 14, 15, 2025

The Drama Club performs one full musical a year. We meet for about 2 ½ months, and rehearse the show for our 3 performances at the Jerome auditorium, with costumes, mics, sets, props, etc! You can be a cast member (singer/dancer/actor) or a part of the stage crew, which helps create and run the backstage elements. There is a separate application/audition process for each. All information for signups will be available in October!

FCA is an interdenominational group of students who know that their worth and identity can be found in something more than sports and competitions. You do not have to be a Christian or an Athlete to attend.

The Film Club is a creative and collaborative space for students who are passionate about movies, filmmaking, and storytelling. Whether you're an aspiring director, screenwriter, cinematographer, or just love watching and analyzing films, this club offers something for everyone. Members will have the opportunity to explore different genres, study classic and contemporary films, and learn about various aspects of film production, including scriptwriting, editing, and cinematography. The club also encourages hands-on experience through student-led film projects, where you can develop your skills and bring your ideas to life. Join us to share your love of cinema, collaborate with fellow film enthusiasts, and create something truly unique.

Junior Teen Institute (JTI) is a program that helps middle schoolers develop leadership skills to become drug-free, bully-free advocates in their schools. We always have breakfast, play games, sell grateful grams, collect pop tabs and have an Oreo contest (to name a few activities).

Build with and learn all about LEGO while meeting new friends.

Open to any 6th, 7th or 8th grader who loves math and loves a challenge.  We will practice problem-solving skills and prepare for a math competition.

An Ohio-wide interscholastic writing program for 7th & 8th graders, that empowers young people to find and develop their own unique creative voices. A creative and competitive writing opportunity.

Meeting Times: Tuesdays for 6 weeks, starting in January
Immediately after school until 9:45pm

Enjoy time to ski or board with friends-new and old. Lessons included in package. Payment is required to participate.

Meeting Times: 1st & 3rd Wednesdays before school

Student Council represents the voice of our student body, working to boost school spirit, promote a sense of belonging, and uphold our SOAR core values. We achieve this through fun events like spirit weeks, dances, and other activities that bring our school community together.

Students are selected through an application and interview process currently underway.
